Organization helps local families cope with loss KPLC-TV LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The Compassionate Friends is a national organization that has local chapters all across the country. The Lake Charles chapter meets at Stellar Beans Coffee once a month. The goal is to help parents cope with the loss of a child.
